Obituary

Cole Dalton Owens was born July 5, 1990 at Okeene, Oklahoma to Roger and Kimberly (Haigler) Owens. He departed this life on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Longdale, Oklahoma at the age of 28.

Cole grew up at Canton, Oklahoma and graduated from Canton High School with the class of 2008. He was active in sports, playing football and basketball. Cole had a life-long love of music and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing with his family and for his friends..

Cole had an infectious spirit and the biggest heart. He made friends everywhere he went. He loved fiercely and cared deeply about the people in his life. He touched every heart that he came into contact with. He was so genuine and kindhearted, making sure everyone was happy even when he was not. He was always there with a hug, a kiss, and an "I love you."

Cole often made those around him laugh. He was the favorite uncle, always the one to get down on the floor to play with the kids or take them outside to run around. He found endless pride and joy in his daughters. He was loyal, protective, sweet, kind, funny, fun, and loving. He will be forever missed, gone way too soon.

Cole was preceded in death by his grandparents, O.L. Owens, Yoko (Sasaki) Owens and Judy Owens; He is survived by his parents, father Roger Owens of Canton, Oklahoma and mother Kim Dreessen and husband Darius of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two daughters, Ella Kole and Bertie Blake-Adaline; two sisters, Kasey Cavalier of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kayla Sutton and husband Mike of Canton, Oklahoma; grandparents Bob and Shirley Haigler of Longdale, Oklahoma; nephews and niece, Liam, Elora, Daegan and Hadrian; many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends.  

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at the Canton School Multi-Purpose Building with Steve Driskill officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Memorials may be made to A Chance to Change through the funeral home at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
