Double Draft Recap: Marcell Ateman, Obo Okoronkwo

On the last weekend in April, a combination of eight athletes from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University were drafted in the 2018 NFL Draft. Over the next few months, I will be doing a Draft Recap series that will take each player and diagnose their collegiate careers, their draft status prior to the event, and what can be expected from them at the next level.

Marcell Ateman, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma State Cowboys

Where he was drafted:

Ateman was drafted tenth in the seventh and final round of the draft by the Oakland Raiders. The Raiders have seen a ton of turnover at wide receiver, and the selection of Ateman is the most recent alteration that has been made at the position since Jon Gruden took over. The Raiders have been one of the more prolific passing offenses in the NFL over the past few seasons, and with Derek Carr in the prime of his career, that doesn’t look to change anytime soon.
