Bridge repairs continue near Okeene and Canton
Progress is being made on bridges located south of Okeene and north of Canton, according to Dax Sawyer, Acting Resident Manager for Clinton Residency, ODOT Division 5.
Sawyer reports that his team is overseeing the work for both bridges as construction moves forward, inspecting each step to ensure the work is done according to code and state standards. Weather has impacted the work, causing delays which resulted in both projects being behind schedule.
“Rain set us behind schedule,” Sawyer said. When asked about both bridges and an estimated completion date, he added, “I’m really hoping the middle of the month we can get it open.”
