Mao Zedong, aka Chairman Mao, was the founding father of the People’s Republic of China. Chairman Mao’s famous hand written poem Farewell to the God of Plague was published in the Chinese newspaper People’s Daily on Oct. 3, 1958.

Chairman Mao was a bit too optimistic.

China today has some very serious issues with spreading new diseases. The entire world knows that now.

There is no God of Plague but the serious threat of infection disease is still alive and well in China and abroad.
