Hannah Nease presents Teach and Train FCCLA STAR Event to local Kiwanis
On Jan. 8, 2020 Hannah Nease started her FCCLA STAR event research with an interview with Kindergarten teacher and job shadow, Mrs. Penner from Okeene Elementary School. For the next weeks, Hannah used this information to form a group of lesson plans and on Jan. 23rd, Hannah spent 3 hours in the Kindergarten room putting her plans into actions.
Using the FCCLA planning process, Hannah created her portfolio and a speech she could present at Regional STAR events in Oklahoma City at Career Tech Center and placed 2nd with points high enough to qualify for State FCCLA STAR Events
While preparing for State STAR Events, Hannah Nease spoke with the Okeene Kiwanis on Thursday, March 5, 2020. This was a great experience. Not only did she get great critiques, she understands what changes will help her speech flow to the judges to get her information conveyed in the time allotment.
