Harvest begins in Okeene

Despite last week’s rain harvest is currently ongoing in Okeene. The elevator in Loyal, (operated by Okeene) and Okeene started taking in wheat on Wednesday, May 30.
“So far we have seen 56-61.5 test weights. The moisture before the rain was around 12, after the rain was 13” Dean Wilson at the Okeene Co-Op said.
The first load of wheat brought to Okeene Milling was brought in by Lucas Meier of Meier Beef and Grain in Hitchcock, Okla.
