Mountain Country Foods employees catch 7 foot fish at Lake Texhoma
A group of Mountain Country Foods employees and friends went on a fishing trip at Lake Texoma recently. The group caught a 7 foot, 200 pound alligator gar while on a striper tour with Sparky’s Guide Service.
It took nearly an hour to land with five handoffs before this big one was brought in! Alligator gar are the state’s largest fish species. The state record alligator gar was a little over 8 foot and 254 pounds.
The group did release their catch after getting this record fish on camera.
