Six candidates vie for two town board trustee seats

1. Tell us a little about yourself including any background information, why you are seeking a position on the Okeene Town Council and why you feel you are the best candidate?

Current city councilman Buster Aldrich said that he moved to Oklahoma from Oregon in 1992. He said he has been in Okeene about 20 years and has worked in a number of industries including plywood manufacturing and the oil refinery industry. Currently Aldrich has a computer repair business. Aldrich said he was asked to join the town council around two years ago in order to fill a position that had become available on the town council. Aldrich said he was on the Okeene Chamber of Commerce board for four and a half years, serving three years as president. Aldrich had this to say about his time serving on the town council, “I found I was working with great people who care about the city,” noting that he is proud of what the town board has done with Okeene’s water infrastructure. He stated that when you put your name on the ballot you are simply offering your services to the community.
