State legislators take close look at business incentive packages

Oklahoma legislators finished their committee work last week during the 2017 legislative session and, in addition to the production of numerous bills on both the house and senate side, took a long look at several business incentive packages, most specifically the wind tax credits.

Sen. A.J. Griffin (RGuthrie) said that the senate spent some 14 hours in appropriations committee discussions. Griffin said that the senate looked closely specifically at the wind tax credits, but that the senate was also sending to the house several tax credit adjustments, including tax incentives for motion pictures made in Oklahoma.
