Trump declares this month Veterans and Military Families Month

While we remember to give thanks this Thanksgiving, President Donald Trump has declared all of November as Veterans and Military Families Month. In a message, President Trump urged communities to “honor the service, sacrifice, and contributions of veterans and military families for what they have done and for what they do every day to support our great nation.” President Trump issued a proclamation declaring all of November as a month to honor American Veterans and military families in an effort to extend traditional Veterans Day celebrations. Veterans Affairs officials have events scheduled throughout the month to highlight military and veterans issues. President Trump also signed a memorandum on veterans’ student loan debt following his speech at the AMVETS 75th National Convention in Louisville, KY, on Aug. 21, 2019.
