Brickman ready to step up as head football coach moving forward
When the calendar gets to the second half of May, it usually means spring football is getting underway for the Whippets. However, for the second-straight year, that won’t be the case in Okeene.
After being limited to only a couple of practices last spring due to the late hire of Chad Miller, as well as the weather, the COVID-19 pandemic has eliminated the chance of getting any work on the gridiron in this May.
Fortunately, while there is going to be a change at the head coaching position for a third-straight year, it’s going to be a familiar face in Reese Brickman who has been an assistant each of the last two seasons. Following the birth of his first child this past fall, Coach Miller made the decision to take step down to an assistant position, in order to be able to spend more time with his family.
