New faces on court expected to help Whippets on the hardwood
The Okeene High School basketball team made the short trip to Fairview during the last week of June to participate in their final Summer League of the off-season. The Whippets, despite losing five seniors from last year’s roster, showed great promise during the event.
“This summer we had a lot of new faces that we are trying to incorporate,” Coach Patrick Finney said. “And with this being my first year as head coach, we are just trying to get to know each other, and see what the guys can do. I am very pleased because we have a lot of players coming out for the team, and that is going to give me a bunch of options moving forward.”
