Okeene eliminated in first round of playoffs; Mayfield one of four Lady Whippets to be voted to All-Star Game

The Lady Whippets saw their season come to an end last Thursday in the district round of the playoffs in Ringwood. After losing the opening game to the Cherokee Lady Chiefs, Okeene dropped their second game to the Lady Red Devils, officially eliminating them.

It was an unfortunate day for Okeene, as they struggled to score runs in both contests. In the opener against Cherokee, the Lady Whippets were able to collect 10 hits, but they left 11 runners on base to end innings.

That limited Okeene to only four runs on the night, as they lost 13-4. Senior Caitlin Outhier reached base in three of four plate appearances in the contest with a pair of singles.
