Whippets fall to 1-1 after high-scoring affair with Hollis
After a dominant performance to kick off the season for the Whippets, Okeene struggled last Friday in their Homecoming loss to the Hollis Tigers. Overall, it was just a much different brand of football as Hollis ran a simple, disciplined brand of offensive football that was more physical than what Coach Chad Miller and the Whippets had seen the prior week.
After an impressive defensive showing against Maud, Okeene struggled to slow the Hollis offense that put up 56 points and over 500 yards of total offense. It was apparent from the very first play from scrimmage that the Tigers would be a much more difficult team to corral, as the quarterback took a read-play up the middle for 83 yards untouched for the opening score.
