Last week was a busy on for the Okeene football program. Not only did the high school team travel to Waukomis to participate in two days of their passing league, but the coaches hosted two camps designed to better prepare the Whippet football players for the upcoming season.

Ava McCollum races down the court after a steal in ODE’s win over On Point in Oklahoma City. McCollum had an active night scoring four points, while grabbing five rebounds and stealing three passes.
While the recent pandemic having restricted the summer schedule for schools across Oklahoma, the Lady Whippets high school basketball team was able to compete in Kingfisher’s Summer Basketball Festival last Monday and Tuesday.
Blayne Jinkens races to try and tag Brayson Roberts in one of the drills during the summer sessions. Jinkens, like many of the athletes got to miss out on track season this past spring thanks to the spread of coronavirus. Now many of them are getting back to competing at the Summer Pride workouts.
This coming fall, colleges all over the country will be getting a new group of freshmen in to join their athletic programs. For the University of Oklahoma, they’ll be adding a southpaw from Carl Albert to add to their pitching staff.
